Last night we finished hosting the back-to-back weekend fastpitch tournaments which was a joint effort between Canfield Baseball Club and Canfield High School Softball Boosters.

We had a combined 54 teams with more than 700 players in the 10U, 12U, 14U, 16/18U divisions.

This collaboration has potential to become the PREMIER fall softball event in our region!!!

We could not have done it without the help of more than 60 volunteers who contributed in excess of 600 volunteer hours.

The compliments that we received throughout the tournament regarding our facilty and via text exchange is just the icing on the cake.

In the early hours on Saturday, September 30th, we had wonderful assistance from several individuals who helped install new toilets in our facilities. They arrived long before most of us awakened in order to ensure a seamless transition--we are most appreciative of this accomplishment.

 Additionally, the field crew, umpires, gate workers, central command volunteers, bathroom attendants and "runners" contributed invaluable work throughout both weekends.

Both organizations take pride in our community organizations and, together, we saw an opportunity to bring teams from Ohio and Pennsylvania to further develop the skills and team building that benefit children who play team sports.

 We also would like to give a shout-out to the team managers and coaches who brought an amazing group of dedicated and respectful players. When you weren't looking, we saw many counts of incredible sportsmanship and a lot of great softball moments.
